The most difficult part in the engineer's life is to crack/get good marks in GTU's External examination. Most of the students get Backlog/ATKT. Getting backlog/ATKT is common among the students studying under the GTU colleges.
So, now we are here to know how to crack GTU exam. It's easy to crack GTU. Many of the students say its hard, but according to me, its easy. Here are some of the easy tips and tricks. Just follow these below simple and easy steps. So, here we go...
1. GET THE SYLLABUS.
The very first thing to do is, get the syllabus from the site. Know what your syllabus is, and prepare according to it. This will help you to crack the exam. Below is the download link for getting the syllabus of GTU.

2. GET THE Previous Year's Question Papers.
Secondly, get the previous year's GTU papers and download it. Below is the link to get the papers. Just look over all the previous year papers and try to figure out the important questions which are asked many times. Do a note on all this questions. Tick all the repeated questions and learn all this important questions before the exam. This will help a lot in getting good marks. Because many a times, important questions are only asked in the paper.
3. COLLECT THE STUDY MATERIALS.
Now, collect the material that is available for the study. Collect the notes that were written by you in the class/lectures. Search the important ppts or eBooks that are available on internet. Download all of them related to your subject. Have a thorough reading of all this materials. The best way to get the materials is to Google it on the internet. There are many sites which provides many ppts as well as eBooks. Read them and you are ready with some amount of preparation. The main benefit from this is, in ppts you will be able to focus on particular topic only which will help in getting you the main concepts.
4. INTERNAL EXAMINATIONS.
Now this point is very important. Many students think that getting 12 marks in internal exam doesn't make difference. But, my dear friends you are totally wrong. The internal exam is of 30 marks. If you bring more than 20 or 22, it will affect your result a lot when bringing 12 or 13 marks. So, first have a eye on this exam. Once you achieve more than 20+ marks in this exams, your final result will come up. Also the main advantage is that, in this exams, we can also score more as the course is also less. So, be ready for this exams and score more.
5. LEARN TO WRITE A PAPER.
The most common mistake comes here. Many students don't know how to write a paper. Actually how to write it in a better way, is shown here. Follow it up:-
Do's:- Following are the points that you should do.
- Underline and highlight the important words ( using pencil ) so as it directly focuses the examiner.
- Learn grammar first of all, so that you can write paper smoothly in English language without any mistake. This will sure help you in getting good marks.
- Make the diagrams visible using the dark pencil, so that it displays well.
- Make points in your answers and than write.
- Make square boxes on the final answers so that it highlights directly to the examiner.
- Write each new question on each new page.
Don'ts:- Following are the points that you should not do.
- Do not write paragraphs.
- Avoid using any other colour pens except blue (can use pencil for highlighting).
- Avoid doing rough works on the paper. Tip:- use backside page to do rough work.
6. KNOW YOURSELF:-
Now, search the topics that are easy for you to understand. Try to memorize them first. This will build your own confidence. Avoid those topics that you are not able to understand. But, if they are important than do study them. When you see at the syllabus and the books, you feel its impossible to learn the whole book. Ya, agree. But who says study whole book. Why not to study those things only that comes in the paper. So, now what you have to do is, first of all set your level. Make the timetable and work according to it. Do that much only that you can. Don't mix up all the things and go to exam. Our motto should be - LEARN LITTLE, GET MORE. So, know yourself and do that things only that you are good with. This will help you.
The day when most of the students are in depression. BE HAPPY. On this day, revise those things only that you have learned. Revise them 2-3 times. So, have a list of the chapters(not all) that you are good with, important questions, small highlighted notes, etc. Have a glance on it. This is the day of the revision not learning. If possible, don't try to learn or read new things on this day.
